  This church is all about the message, not putting on a big show. Pastor Mike is hands down the best educator of God that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. He just makes sense. His gift is to take the Bible and translate it into modern day terminology and experiences. His passion is revealing who our loving God is. Everyone fits in, everyone gets his sermons. You never leave feeling as if you wasted your time at church and in fact you don't want to miss. Mike is humble and honest about human struggles making you feel as if someone really gets you. If your tired of being "preached at", feeling "beaten down by God", "wondering who God is", come try one sermon at Hope. You wont get any pressure to join (they don't keep track), you wont be asked to give your money (visitors are asked not to give), and you wont have to fill anything out. Just have a cup of coffee and relax while you soak in a great message filled with hope and love.

  I was astonished by the simple truths shared regarding the truth about who God is and what He thinks about me. Very relaxed environment. I actually had a cup of coffee during the service... that they provided free! Music was very nice too.

  A place to rest and re-energize. When I walked into service I felt weighted down by the pressures of everything around me, however as I listened to the message I was reminded to "Be Still and know that I am God...never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." I realized I was so focused on staring at myself and my own failures that I was forgetting to focus on God and let Him work in me (Pastor Mike talked about having your Gaze and your Glance mixed up...I was gazing at myself and glancing at God instead of the other way around). The messages are filled with Hope (truly living up to the name of the church), and regardless of where you are in your faith walk...new believer, scarred believer, or "experienced" believer...the message speaks to you right where you are. Grace is lived out here and everyone is welcome at this informal church...you can feel free to dress up or down depending on your taste...but if you see me I'll be in jeans!
